CUSTOMER: "What-Sights-To-See", a tourism and visitors consulting agency
NEED:
"What-Sights-To-See" is a tourism and visitors consulting agency that provides the tools necessary to help organizations meet the sight-seeing needs of their clientele. The biggest challenge is meeting the unique sight-seeing needs of each individual while keeping personnel resources at reasonable and cost effective levels. The challenge is due to vastly different needs and tastes that one visitor has compared to the next, and banks of pamphlets do a poor job at helping them narrow down their choices to the places they'd be most interested in. Connecting visitors to their ideal tourism route is critical in order to insure a positive experience that will most likely result in rave reviews and greater tourism and commerce in the future.
SOLUTION:
At the heart of this system a fun interactive kiosk that immediately guides the visitor through a decision matrix that helps the kiosk calculate a prioritized list of those sights best suited for thier unique states. In real time, a virtual map is then presented to the visitor showing virtual push-pins, one for each of their top 10 sights. The visitor is then allowed to view information by selecting each push pin and even add or remove push pins from thier "sight-seeing solution". They can then print, sometimes for a small fee, a map of these sights that also contains a small summary of each sight (including costs, hours open, reservation requirements, etc). Depending on how the tourism counter wishes to administer the maps they may be printed right there at the kiosk, or printed at the tourism counter where the visitor is instructed to pick it up which then encourages interactivity with someone at the desk, which human interactivity may provide additional benefits for both the visitors and the organization.
